(More customer reviews)I am hoping this will be included in the Amazon Prime selection soon because as a frequent protein- and nutrition-bar consumer, this one is the best I've found so far.
I also like Odwalla Super Protein, Kashi Protein Roll bars, and Atkins Nutrition bars, but they are all 190-250 calories which I find a bit too high in calories for an afternoon or mid-morning snack.
This Marathon Nutrition (different from Marathon Energy) bars comes in two flavors, almond nut crunch and dark chocolate, and the dark chocolate flavor is excellent and true to the description. It has no discernible metallic/chalky aftertaste that many of the fortified bars have (although this includes a good range of vitamins and minerals too), and contains the following macronutrients:
Calories: 150
Protein: 11g
Carb: 22g with 7g fiber and 9g sugar
Fat: 4.5g
150 is just right for me, and 11 grams of protein with that calories profile is EXCELLENT. Most of all, it's delicious.
The only drawback that I can see in these bars is the relative unavailability in markets (I think it's still new), and its non-organic ingredients. Overall, excellent, healthy product from a candy brand.

I really like the taste of these, and their 22g of protein is the highest content of any of the protein bars that I regularly eat - Cliff Builder, Kashi, and Promax being the others. They are also fairly high in electrolytes with 360mg of Sodium and 260mg of Potassium, and these are important to those who train hard and need the extra minerals. The one downside to these is that their sugar content (at least in part) comes from corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup. The other products that I mentioned avoid this by using more natural sources such as evaporated cane juice. Because of the sweetener, I do not use any of the Snickers products as my primary protein bars. I use them more as a change of pace to keep from burning out on the others. For the more nutritious conscious, I would recommend products from Cliff, Kashi, or Promax. While these are better than a regular candy bar, you can still do better.

(More customer reviews)I was nostalgic for old-fashioned egg noodle dishes (like casseroles, kugels, and noodles w/ farmer cheese and pepper) but wanted them a little healthier. I don't think that anyone else makes this anymore, but that's o.k. because these are yummy. A healthy trick I've learned is to get a close approximation (trial & error) of how much water the noodles absorb while cooking, then after bringing just that amount of water to a boil, cook the noodles covered on the lowest possible heat occasionally freeing them from the bottom w/ a wooden spatula. That way all B-vitamins and minerals stays in the noodles instead of being lost in the water. It takes a bit of practice not to end up w/ a solid block of noodles. Adding a little oil or butter halfway through cooking helps.
Anyway, whether you cook them like this or using the standard directions, they're delicious and hold together better than some other whole wheat noodles I've tried in the past.

What I usually do is have one serving of this mixed with one serving of another, sweeter cereal. All Bran Extra Fiber is also a great mix-in for yogurt or cottage cheese, instead of fatty, sugary granola.

(More customer reviews)This is one of the first items I bought as I am changing my family's diet to gluten free (or as close as I can get it). I made pancakes yesterday and my family loved them. My husband usually eats 5-6 regular pancakes before throwing in the towel and yesterday after only three of the same sized pancakes he was "stuffed". I also found I couldn't eat more than two, and I'm a good breakfast eater. Our five and six year olds were happy after one each.
As for the taste and texture, they didn't fall apart or go "crumbly". We both agreed that they tasted much more like a corn cake rather than a traditional pancake, as we are used to the Aunt Jemima brand pancake mix.
This morning I warmed one pancake up (since there were leftovers) in the microwave and had one for breakfast and it was just as good as yesterday. I am freezing the rest and will nuke one each day this week for breakfast as an easy start to each day. Couldn't be simpler. If you are one who always says they don't have time for breakfast, this is the easiest way to go. Enjoy.

These biscuits break in two fairly easily, but are firm enough give the dog some crunchy chewing exercise. I only use rewards to train my dog, and these are very motivating for him.

(More customer reviews)This cereal has just about everything: great crunch, lots of interesting "bits" (cranberries, nuts, etc.), and it's wonderfully filling. Two-thirds of a cup doesn't sound like a lot, but with this stuff and 1/2 C of skim milk, it's a decent serving.
If you're on Weight Watchers, this will fit right in: a serving with skim milk is only 4 points -- not bad for a nice filling breakfast. Add some fresh fruit, and you're set to go.
Amazon's price is quite good, too. This stuff is sky high in the supermarket if you can find it. Yes, you have to buy 5 packages, but a little goes a long way -- I have it 2-3 times a week, and I'm not getting tired of it at all.
All in all, a good value: healthy, filling, and great taste.

There must be some sort of preservative they use that gives them this indigestible taste. I have done my best to give them some palate feel by buttering and frying them, but every method has proven futile and these tortillas remain unused. Do not waste your money.
