I put ground flax on my son's peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Both boys don't even notice it when I use this gold dash flax ! I also use it in my pancake batter, muffins, waffles, etc.

Those of us who are familiar with a gf lifestyle would find that this instant quinoa cereal offers good nutrition compared to rice cereals (6 g protein), low sugar (9g), and also the nutrients that are found in quinoa (lots). Also, I believe tastebuds change once you are completely gluten-free, so this wouldn't have the offending texture the other reviewer mentioned to a gf person. My 10-year old daughter likes this cereal, and it sure is a lot more healthy than the gluten free cold cereals, rice bagels, or muffins out there.

(More customer reviews)I have recently started buying Erin Baker's Breakfast cookies because they are a fast, easy and nutritious way for me to start my day. This flavor is not always available as it is a limited edition flavor, but fear not, these cookies do very well when frozen and can go directly from the freezer to the microwave for about 40 seconds, and you have a nice chewy delicious cookie.
This flavor is delicious-some of the major ingredients are whole grain rolled oats, raisins, dried apples, walnuts, coconut and spices (cinnamon, nutmeg and carrot cake spices). The cookie comes in at 310 calories, 18% fiber, with 17g of sugar and 15% iron.
I was doubtful that a large cookie would sustain me, as lunch for me is about 5.5 hours away, but I have no problem, this cookie is filling and delicious. As with any fiber filled product, make sure you do drink fluids.
If you do buy these or any of the other Breakfast cookies, be assured that you can freeze and microwave, so on the limited edition flavors, you can buy extra if you really love a particular flavor.

(More customer reviews)I was so excited to get these because I thought it would be a great healthy snack to keep at my desk. I ordered these and other flavor (double chocolate chunk) and after eating a couple of each, noticed that one of the cookies had bluish green mold on it. I assumed it was a bad one in the batch. I saw on the manufacturer's website that these should be stored in the freezer since the shelf life is 90 days (due to natural ingredients and no preservatives). I immediately put them in the freezer after getting them 3 weeks earlier. The next 4 cookies I opened had that same mold on it and after I examine the rest, I found that they all were moldy. Apparently Amazon had them stored in their warehouse for a while before I rec'd them. Since there were no dates stamped on the cookies, I have no idea how long they sat in the warehouse before I got them.
I will not be ordering these again and will be wary of ordering other food products from Amazon.com. They were great about refunding my money and I will continue to purchase from amazon, just not short shelf life food items.

I have bought flax seed from other sources before, only to find it rancid when I opened the bag. This product was fresh as can be, and has stored well for me since I bought it a few months ago. Not only does NOW sell a fresh product, but Amazon must store it properly or have a very high turnover rate, because the product I received was very fresh. Storage makes a difference with flax.
The price for 6 bags was lower than I've seen elsewhere. I store one open bag at a time in my refrigerator and keep the rest in the freezer. They have kept well for me.
I use milled flax seed to make a variety of foods, mostly homemade granola and low-carbohydrate, high-fiber baked goods. It serves as a good flour replacer in some recipes.

(More customer reviews)I have been consuming flaxseed for nearly a year under doctor's orders after I developed muscle pain with a series of statins. I also take niacin and endure the flushing.
Researched flax recommendations on a number of medical and health sites and determined that ground flax was the way to go, providing it was properly stored. This product pouch is a reasonable size for refrigeration after opening and I don't even mind carting it along on trips. The unopened pouches are kept in normal home temps, and I've had no spoilage problems.
I add the ground flax to fresh fruit salads, cottage cheese, mix it with honey or peanut butter, and have even added it to an omelet. The easiest mode is with cold cereal, but admittedly it gums up in milk if not consumed quickly. Anyway it's consumed it is preferable to potential permanent muscle damage with statins.
Cholesterol numbers moved 20-25 points in the right directions after 90 days with this regimen (coupled with fish oil).
Delivery on the subscription plan is timely and convenient.
