It smells pretty weird, and whenever I eat it around my friends, I get funny looks and wrinked noses, but the smell doesn't affect the taste at all! Though you don't want to replace actual fresh fruit and vegetables with this bar, I do think it's better than not having them at all, and I try to keep one in my bag for the really long days. I definitely prefer eating this to vending machine snacks or yet another fast food meal (the only choices near my school).

But in all fairness to the bar, for what you get protein wise and the low net carbs, it probably is one of the better tasting when comparing apples to apples. Just dont be expecting to taste something that taste like fresh brownies right out of mom's oven. It is a very light chocolate taste and a little on the bland side...but I buy them anyway just because it is hard to find a better value with low net carbs, low fat, and 21 grams of protein like this one has. The only way I could loose weight was to take these pills, one a day in the morning. That made the difference between eating 1000 cals/day with an hour of cardio 6 days a week and NOT losing - and losing about a pound a week.
The downside: I'm migrane prone and on this pill, the migranes were constant after about 3 days of use, so I could only take it in spurts. Also, after stopping use, I would gain back about 1/2 of what I'd lost, so some of it was water weight.
I haven't tried taking it now that I'm off the synthroid and my weight is stable and far more manageable. But for someone without headache tendencies and needing a little extra boost, this pill will make at least a little difference.

What's not to like? Great taste, high vitamin content, lactose free!
For those who need to gain weight, this product is ideal. I myself am not a fan of high-density caloric drinks for the general population. If you are in good health and just want a great dietary suppliment, get regular Ensure instead.
This product is great for people with diabetes, heart problems, and many other maladies because it helps you improve your dietary health first.
I must also say, the taste is surprisingly good as well. I find these drinks far superior to Slim-Fast lactose free, as they are lighter and easier on the stomach than Slim-Fast.
While I prefer the bottles to the cans (they are more recycling friendly after all) this is a great product that is worth a try.
For those who don't need to gain weight, try regular Ensure instead.

I need to buy a new one soon and the only reason is because it's started to look a little nasty after 15 years of on-and-off wear whenever I got a flareup of the pain in my right knee from an old injury to the cartilage under my kneecap. Other than how it looks it is still intact, in great shape and works after all that time. I get immediate pain relief putting on this knee support and it's comfortable and flexible enough for a full range of movement and even to sleep in. All other knee braces cause me more pain instead of helping, because they are too rigid and press downward on the kneecap.
