(More customer reviews)I've tried a lot of the Zone Perfect bars and while there are others that I like, these are by far the best and more versitile. How can a protein bar be versitile you ask? Simple: they are a great breakfast bar with a cup of coffee, an excellent trail snack while camping, and even a tasty treat at the end of the night. The trick is you don't HAVE to have a liquid t wash it down. I like the various peanut butter flavored ones too but those pretty much REQUIRE a warm liquid to keep your mouth from cemanting shut. The Yogart Strawberry ones are very tasty and moist, and are an excellent choice in their own right. They don't need anything to wash them down but eventually they just are too sweet and I find myself longing for something with a bit of texture flavor complexity.
But these bad boys have it all, a bit of sweet, a bit of tart, and a bit of salt and texture. So many bars are homogenous blobs that you chew in the vain attempt to swallow it as fast as possible. These bars actually have some complexity to them between the chocolate, raisens, and solid chunks of almonds. It may all sound just a bit over-analyzed but when you're searching for a bar you can stomach for more than a week at a time without getting bored or sick of it you start to notice the little things that you like and don't like. I like these bars :)
