This paper is very good for testing and I use less than the lable suggests, I use just 1/2 inch, double my value since I use it three times a day. The value is good with the refill. Just a good deal.

pH is a measure of acidity and alkalinity. The pH scale goes from 0 to 14. At pH 7, the half way point, there is a balance between acidity and alkalinity. Such a solution is neutral. The principles of pH begin with a definition of the term pH. The p comes from the word power. The H, of course is the symbol for the element of hydrogen. Together, the term pH means the hydrion ion exponent. Test your pH with this convenient dispenser containing a 15-foot roll of pH litmus paper. The dispenser includes a color chart to determine your pH value. The body pH value tells you how acidic or alkaline your body is, and balancing your body pH is essential for a healthy body and a major line of defense against sickness and disease. Your body works hard to maintain a balanced pH because that allows its systems to operate more efficiently and effectively. Imbalance, on the other hand, leads to obesity, fatigue, premature aging and other health problems. To maintain a balanced pH, your body pulls certain minerals, such as sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium, from its tissues to neutralize acids in the blood. If it can't do that successfully, it will dump the acids into various organs, which causes health problems. You can help your body neutralize acids in the blood and maintain a balanced pH by taking some simple steps, like eating the right foods and exercising. There are a variety of ways to determine your body's pH, the most accurate of which is to find the pH value of your blood using a pH meter. However, that can be impractical since it would require drawing blood and purchasing a special meter. A more practical and inexpensive method is to find the pH level of your urine using litmus paper. But, since your urine pH varies with what you eat, you should measure your pH after fasting for at least 12 hours, or when you get up in the morning before you exercise, eat or drink anything. I have purchased their previous product, the two-colour pHion strips, for years and have sent many people to their website to purchase them, even if one of the colors had to be ignored to get the proper reading. (This may be why they changed to this single-color version.) However, I still have some of the two-color strips and test strips from another manufacturer that are consistent between their readings. These "NEW pHion Test Stix" have proved to be useless. They consistently indicate a very low pH, at least 2 points lower than both of the other strips, and their sensitivity is extremely poor. (I had purchased 10 bottles through their website and will be sending 9 back.) A low reading serves to promote their other products; this is unethical if it produces erroneously low results.

Phion Diagnostic pH Test Strips are the best strips available for discovering the pH of your body. Testing your pH is important because if your are overly acidic, you may feel low energy... find it difficult to lose weight... experience poor digestion... suffer from aches and pains... and even fall victim to more serious disorders. Too much acid can wreak havoc on your health! If you care enough about your body to test your pH, do it the right way. Litmus paper wont give you a truly accurate pH reading because it bleeds when it gets wet, which makes it quite a challenge to determine the color. pHion Diagnostic pH Test Strips differ in that the reagent is affixed to a plastic strip, so there is no paper, no bleeding, and no mess. Plus, pHion Diagnostic pH Test Strips measure a wider range (4.5 - 9.0) and they are the only test strips on the market that can pass through a urine stream without having the reagent bleed, making them exceptionally easy to read.Simply put, pHion Diagnostic pH Test Strips measure a wider pH range more accurately!
